What makes our store so special is that all the designs have been illustrated by incredibly talented artists.

The mission of this collection is to share the message of hope through anime illustrations and be a reminder that you are not alone and that help is available.

We hope you find a connection with one of the merch and that you support your favorite artist.

I’m Ying, a visual designer based in SF with experience in brand & identity and UI design. Fueled up by a good cup of coffee and my passion.

For my design, I wanted to build off of the Japanese idiom “Oubaitori” which is the concept that people bloom in their own time and in their own beautiful ways just like flowers in the springtime. The four characters in the phrase which I’ve included in the design are made up of the kanji for four fruit trees, cherry, plum, peach, and apricot whose blossoms, though similar, are distinctly different from one another and bloom at different times throughout the spring.

I thought this saying highlighted an important issue that many struggling with mental health including myself have faced – the issue of comparison. On the journey of healing oneself it can be too easy to fall into the trap of comparing yourself to others and feeling guilt or shame as a result. “Why can’t I be happy like them? Why can’t I recover as quickly as them? Everyone else has their life together why can’t I? ” etc… I wanted to create a comforting design for people to wear to reassure them that it’s okay to take it slow and go at your own pace. We are all dealing with our own struggles on our own journey and are all unique and beautiful so it’s okay to take time to breathe and take care of yourself.

Hello, I’m Sara Chong! I’m a graduate of San Jose State University’s Animation/Illustration program, with my focus being visual development. My art is influenced by children’s book illustration, manga, and textiles. The setting and worldbuilding are my favorite parts of a story, and I want my work to give people the same excitement that I feel upon discovering a place full of possibility and adventure!

When I’m not drawing and painting, my interests include playing games and reading, with my favorite genre being fantasy. I also sew, crochet, and knit, with one of my ambitions being to make all my own clothes.
